Gold Canyon was founded based on courage, humility and passion, which are considered to be the true original ingredients behind Curt and Karen Waisath’s dream. Gold Canyon and the rich fragrant candles began in the Waisath’s kitchen, where Karen began developing candles that would fill her home with ambience.
Late in 1997, the perfect scented candle was developed that would quickly find a loyal and passionate following. Karen not only created the candles she was seeking through her passionate intuition and innovation, she also found a way to have a candle business that would allow her to be at home with her children. They discovered people not only loved their scented candles, but also the opportunity and flexibility of a home candle business. One year later, Gold Canyon grew from one candle to over 26 scented candles in four different sizes.
Today at Gold Canyon, thousands have fulfilled their own dreams thanks to the opportunity to have a home candle business founded by Curt and Karen. The formula for success is the same as it was in the beginning. A formula that includes the dynamic and passionate community of Demonstrators, the expert Coworkers that have become masters of their craft and the hundreds of distinct candle fragrances, body products and natural cleaning products that remain true to the Gold Canyon experience. Each scented candle and new product is still carefully approved by Karen to ensure Gold Canyon delivers on its brand promise as “The World’s Finest”. The mission of Gold Canyon continues to move forward and will always remain focused on family, charity, community and friendship.
